We went through several ideas for branding the file management application that the programmers at Acceleration came up with. When we settled on fileyeti, I was given the task of creating the logo and the xhtml template for the interface. I drew the yeti image in Illustrator with my wacom tablet, and chose a Clarendon typeface for the word mark.

I've learned that the single most important key to advertising is knowing your target audience. The second most important element is establishing an identity. This applies to products, people, and businesses alike. If a business doesn't have an identity, people don't remember it. If people don't remember it, the business fails. Exploring the possibilities that a logo can lend to an entity has become a passion of mine as I've designed logos for products, locations, and events.
